Shakira sends message to Colombia after earthquake that left 111 dead 

In an emotional post on social media, Colombian pop star Shakira expressed her solidarity and support for those affected by the powerful earthquake that struck western Colombia.

The singer also expressed condolences to the families facing moments of anguish after the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that has so far claimed the lives of 111 people and injured 87 others.

She called on her compatriots to stay united, as they are accustomed to in difficult times.

"My beloved Colombia, my heart is with all those who felt this earthquake today and with the families who are going through this difficult time. In moments like these, Colombians know how to come together and support each other. All my strength and love for my country. Let's hug each other tightly and stay in touch for guidance so that we can help as soon as possible."
