Yesterday, Bashar al-Assad and his family fled Syria, leaving the country in the hands of rebel forces.
The plane took them to Moscow, allegedly along with a staggering fortune that will now guarantee the Syrian dictator a luxurious life in Russia.
A photo of Assad and his wife walking in Moscow circulated on social media, where they reportedly bought 20 apartments in a prestigious residence.
However, the photo is old, from several years ago, when Assad was visiting Russia.
There is currently no public photo of Assad from Russia, the country that granted him political asylum.
