Russian Telegram channels reported today about the drone attack on the Chechen capital, Grozny.
Alleged footage of the attack appeared on social media, while the attack was also commented on by former adviser to the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, Anton Gerashchenko.
"A closer look at the drone strike in Grozny appeared on Russian Telegram channels. It is reported that the base of the special operations unit was hit," Gerashchenko wrote.
The video shows a drone flying over the city, with gunfire heard in the background. The plane then crashes into a building and explodes.
This is the third incident in a week involving Chechnya. On Thursday, a Ukrainian drone hit the roof of a police barracks, injuring four people, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov announced.
