The U.S. Embassy in Skopje this morning notified all NGOs and other organizations that have already won and almost completed the projects in the Republic of Macedonia to stop the project and not pay anything, according to the executive order of new U.S. President Donald Trump, who "froze" foreign aid for 90 days to all countries, Except Israel and Egypt.

"AJM received notification shortly that the donor of this project, the International Organization - IREKS, requests the cessation of all activities for the implementation of the project. This follows the decision of the new US authorities to "freeze" and revision of almost all US aid around the world, in a period of 90 days," the CMEM said in a statement.

This is the first consequence of the new U.S. administration, and more project disruptions are expected, as President Trump will start to confront a negative trade balance with Europe.

For the justice system alone, the U.S. has given donations of almost 500 million euros.

The guide, released Friday by U.S. Secretary of State Mark Rubio, sent to all diplomatic-consular missions, requires employees to give "stop-work orders" to all "existing foreign aid awards."

The state secretary initiated control of all foreign aid programs to ensure that they are effective and consistent with U.S. foreign policy under the "America First" agenda. /Inaonline
