Ukraine advances with attacks inside Russian territory, Kremlin on alert

As images of the attack on Ukrainian tanks in Kurks have been published, Russia threatens to retaliate strongly.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement that "the Kiev regime is continuing its terrorist activity with the sole purpose of intimidating the peaceful population of Russia."

She adds that Ukraine "understands very well" that the latest attacks "make no sense from a military point of view".

Meanwhile, a group of Ukrainian soldiers have published a video on social networks where they show themselves raising a Ukrainian flag while trampling a Russian. The BBC says it is an administrative building in the village of Guevo, in Russia's Kursk region. This village is a little more than 3 km in Russia.
