The killing of a 35-year-old woman by her ex-husband in the middle of the road has caused anger and outrage in Turkey.
The moment of the murder in the Arnavutkioi district of Istanbul was filmed with a mobile phone.
In the video, the 40-year-old man is seen chasing his ex-wife and then shoots her in the head.
After she fell to the ground, he fires two more bullets at her.
Turkish media reports that the former couple had been divorced for two years and were living separately.
At noon yesterday, the woman went to her ex-husband's house to see her children.
When the 40-year-old did not allow it, a fight started between them and the ex-husband killed him in the middle of the road.
The man, after shooting her to death, stood by her body while he was arrested by the police.
An eyewitness told Hurriyet: "The woman was begging her husband: 'What will happen to the children? Don't do it, don't do it." He pushed the woman into the street and fired into the air, then three times at her.
As children called out to them and neighbors screamed, watching in horror."
