ALARM in Athens! Fires surround the Greek capital, some houses burn! 10 people

Athens has been put on alert after the fire broke out in several areas of Attica. According to the Greek media, the current situation on the fire front in Varnavas is very difficult, as the flames have "stuck" the apartments.

According to the information, more than 10 residents had to be taken out of their homes, after they were trapped by the flames, and then they were transported to the hospital, with respiratory problems.

Reinforced firefighting forces are working at the scene to extinguish the fire, which is characterized as dangerous, due to the speed of the winds that help it spread.

It is reported that a fire engine was completely burnt, as the flames surrounded it. On the other hand, the townspeople are being evacuated, while several roads leading to the area have been closed.
