A 5.2 Richter earthquake occurred in the morning in Evia, according to the revised solution of the Geodynamic Institute. The earthquake was also felt in Attica.

The epicenter is located 6 kilometers east of Prokopio Evia and the focal depth at 14.2 kilometers.

According to the Euro-Mediterranean Institute, the earthquake is rated at 5.3 on the Richter scale. Seven minutes later, a 3.7 Richter earthquake with a focal depth of 5 km occurred from the same epicenter. which was also felt in areas of Attica.

"The earthquake happened in a mountainous area, and it does not cause concern," seismologist Kostas Papazachos told protothema.gr.
