Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary stated that the era of cheap flights is over and that people should prepare for higher ticket prices.

Citing the significant increase in fuel prices, O'Leary adds that average airline fares will increase by approximately €50 over the next five years. However, he is confident that people will continue to travel despite the rising costs.

"There's no doubt that you won't see our really cheap promotional rates, one euro, 0.99 euro rates, even 9.99 euro rates in the next few years," O'Leary said.

Rising fuel prices that are driving up airline ticket costs are also driving up household energy bills, reducing people's incomes. But the airline's chief says that despite this, he expects customers to look for lower-cost options rather than cut flights.
