The Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo has announced the arrest of a citizen for making extremist calls to the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

The prosecution says that prompted by the debate on a TV show where there was a call for the murder of Albin Kurti, this citizen made a post with similar content on social networks.

According to the announcement of the Prosecutor's Office, "the NS suspect made threats of violence and murder against the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, after he made a post on the social network "Facebook" with incriminating content, as well as during the live broadcast of the show." "Debat Plus", dated August 30, 2023, he repeated the same statement.

With the decision of the Special Prosecutor's Office, this citizen was given a 48-hour prison sentence.

We recall that during the TV show yesterday evening, the head of OVL-UÇK, Faton Klinaku made a strong statement that was interpreted as a direct death threat to Kurt. Klinaku was questioned by prosecutors and stated that his words were taken out of context.

Also, today the police interrogated the well-known Albanian rhapsodist from Drenas, Nuredin Gashi, known as 'Nur Drenica'.

"I've said it and I say it again, I don't find Faton Klinkau's statement tragic because the homeland is more valuable than everything. I consider that any person who does bad things, as Albin Kurti does, and if I were in his place, should definitely be killed because it is treason against the country. I consider that Kurti's party and its staff are traitors to the country", Gashi declared.
