Shots fired at two Jewish schools in Canada

Police in Canada's second-largest city say two Jewish schools were shot at on Thursday.

Teachers returned to the schoolyard in Cote-des-Neiges to find the front door riddled with bullets, but thankfully no one was hurt.

The incident follows a firebomb attack on a Montreal synagogue earlier this week, and clashes between pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli groups at the city's Concordia University.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has called for a reduction in tensions at the national level.

"I know emotions are high and people are scared. But attacking each other is not who we are as Canadians," he said during a visit to Montreal.
