A moment of calm and heroism averted a potential tragedy on a highway in Sweden, when two passengers managed to save around 50 people after the bus driver suddenly lost consciousness while driving.

According to local media, Maria Helte reacted immediately by grabbing the steering wheel of the bus and trying to maintain control of the vehicle and its direction.

At the same time, another passenger rushed to the driver's seat, sat in his seat, and braked, helping to bring the bus to a safe stop.

Thanks to the quick and coordinated reaction of the two passengers, the bus stopped without causing an accident. There were about 50 people on board and none of them were injured.

The incident took place on August 19, and footage of the incident was released today. Maria Helte, who had no previous experience driving a bus, did not hesitate to intervene at the critical moment and kept the vehicle under control until it stopped.

Passengers experienced moments of anxiety as emergency services arrived at the scene and the driver received the necessary medical attention.

The reaction of the two passengers made it possible to avoid a potentially tragic accident, showing that calmness and determination in critical moments can be decisive.
