Google has received a fine of more than two undecillion, which means a figure with 36 zeroes, after removing government-directed and pro-government accounts from YouTube.
In other words, an undecillion is a trillion multiplied by three times itself.
The fine that Google has received from Russia is greater than the entire Gross Domestic Product of the world, which according to the International Monetary Fund is 110 trillion dollars.
Google has a value of 2.16 trillion dollars and it seems that with that much money, it will not be able to repay Russia.
The fine also increases for non-payment and if it is not paid for 9 months, it will double every day, reports the Russian news agency, Tass.
The 'alarming' figure has risen after Google failed to restore YouTube accounts belonging to 17 Russian TV channels, according to RBC News.
Google can return to the Russian market only if it implements the court's decision.
The matter was raised privately in 2020 after the accounts of Tsargrad TV and RIA FAN channels were blocked by US sanctions.
Then the situation escalated after the start of the war in Ukraine when YouTube blocked the accounts belonging to Sputnik and RT where the Russian authorities were also involved.
