Stormy are the developments regarding the thriller disappearance of 75-year-old Chaoussi Saniko, in September 2022, in Alikianos of Chania, after the village priest was charged with murder, while the two foreigners of Czech nationality are suspected to have been charged as collaborators.
According to Greek media, it was September 23, 2022, when 75-year-old Saniko, mother of 7 children, but also grandmother of 19 grandchildren, was last seen walking the narrow streets of the village of Alikianos.
According to the documents, it is suspected that the woman was hit by the priest's car while crossing the road to her son's house. On March 22, 2022, the priest, speaking with Evangelia Marinaki and on the show "Light in the tunnel" with Angeliki Nikolouli, claimed that he does not know the 75-year-old.
The priest's co-workers were two Czechs, father and son, who at that time were doing work in the village cemetery and tried to cover up the accident, erasing the traces, as well as the body of the 75-year-old woman.
The disappearance of the woman
The woman disappeared, without any sign of life, no one was found who could have seen her. The "silver alarm" was also activated for the 75-year-old.
The family and friends of the unfortunate woman could not believe what had happened, how the elderly woman disappeared while walking on the main streets of the village. Despite everything, they were pressuring the authorities to start investigations. The priest and the two Czechs were targeted from the beginning of the investigation, but there was no hard evidence of guilt.
It is only a matter of time that the District vicar, who has also received the title of chief commissioner of the 5th district of the Metropolis, will be before the investigative bodies, having been investigated for intentional homicide in a calm state of mind.
