US orders diplomats in Saudi Arabia to leave the country

The US State Department has asked American diplomats in Saudi Arabia to leave the country.

The New York Times reports, citing sources who say the order to leave shows the administration's awareness of the growing risks in the region.

This is the first time since the bombings began that the State Department has approved an order to leave a country.
