Sarkozy returns to court, followers are surprised by Carla Bruni's appearance; The former model, far from her seductive image!

Far from her usual glamorous image, Carla Bruni appeared in court Tuesday alongside her husband, Nicolas Sarkozy, who is appealing his conviction. The former model appeared at the Palais de Justice in Paris looking remarkably simple: minimal makeup, a black suit and white sneakers. She wore only sunglasses and her mobile phone, while being escorted by two police officers.

According to Daily Mail reports, her appearance was significantly different from that of October 21, when Bruni was seen alongside Sarkozy as he was being taken to La Santé Prison.

Last year, Sarkozy was sentenced to five years in prison for criminal conspiracy in connection with an alleged scheme to secure campaign funds for his election from the regime of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. With the verdict, he became the first former head of state of the European Union and the first post-war French leader to end up in prison.

After 20 days in a Paris jail, which he described as "exhausting" and "terrible," Sarkozy was released in November pending an appeal. He has since published a book about his experience in prison.
