Serbian Prince Filip Karadjordjevic has reportedly called US President-elect Donald Trump to congratulate him on his victory.

He even says that he asked Trump for his country to de-recognize Kosovo.

He questions NATO's intervention in 1999, which stopped the Serbian genocide in Kosovo, and says that "Albanian claims" of genocide "were widely disputed", without saying by whom.

For Serbia, he says that the withdrawal of the recognition of Kosovo's independence from the USA under the leadership of Donald Trump, "would be a profound act of justice, signaling a commitment to correcting the mistakes of the past".

The Serbian prince further links the case of Kosovo with Russia's territorial claims against its neighbors, criticizing the previous US administrations for "double standards".

"Now, with the leadership of Donald Trump, the opportunity to derecognize Kosovo can serve as a powerful statement against the foreign policy missteps of the past. Such a decision would resonate not only with the people of Serbia, but also with American citizens who are tired of the interventions that have sown instability and dissatisfaction abroad", the Serbian prince emphasizes.

According to him, there is corruption, violence against journalists and attacks on ethnic minorities in Kosovo. "Those who claim that the United States should uphold its values ??globally should consider the reality in Kosovo, where corruption, violence against journalists and attacks on ethnic minorities continue. By withdrawing recognition, Donald Trump can send a clear message that the United States does not support regimes that fail to uphold basic human rights and democratic principles."
