Orban appeals to Americans: Re-elect Trump to end the war in Ukraine and save
The President of Hungary, Viktor Orban

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that the only way to end the war in Ukraine would be to re-elect Donald Trump as US president.

In the interview, posted Wednesday on Carlson's Twitter page, Orban praised Trump's foreign policy while criticizing President Joe Biden's administration and its approach to war.

Although Trump faces criminal charges for trying to subvert the 2020 election, returning the former president to office would be "the only way out" of the conflict, Orban argued, calling any suggestion that Ukraine could defeat Russia.

"The Russians are much stronger, much more numerous than the Ukrainians", said the Hungarian Prime Minister. "Re-elect Trump. ... Trump is the man who can save the Western world," he declared.

In the interview with Carlson, Orban criticized the numerous lawsuits against Trump, which also include the alleged misuse of classified documents.

"To use the justice system against political opponents - in Hungary, I think it's impossible to imagine," he said. "This was done by the communists. It is a very communist methodology to do this", declared Orban.

Orban also said that he will consider it a cause for war if someone destroys the gas pipeline that runs from Russia to Hungary and Serbia.
