The flood alarm is raised again in Spain!

Resuming rain has put part of the hard-hit Valencia region on orange alert, while an extra 500 troops have been involved in the search for missing people.

Spain, which declared three days of mourning, counts its dead, which now reach 158.

The deadliest floods in Spain's modern history have engulfed the Valencia region as torrential rains lashed the region on Tuesday and Wednesday, submerging roads and towns in muddy waters and leaving scenes of untold chaos and destruction.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez called on residents in the affected areas to "stay in their homes" as the danger has not gone away. More than 1,200 rescue workers, aided by drones, were deployed on the rescue mission as rains continued to threaten many parts of the country.

"For now, the most important thing is to save as many lives as possible," Sanchez said, calling for solidarity and vigilance.
