Dozens of people have been killed in clashes between fans at a football match in N'Zerekore, Guinea's second largest city.
"There are corpses lined up everywhere in the hospital. Others are lying on the floor in the corridors. The morgue is full", a doctor is said to have told foreign media.
Currently, it is reported that there are more than 100 dead, while the fans also set fire to the police station.
"Everything started with a contested decision by the referee. Then the fans invaded the field", said another witness.
Local media said the match was part of a tour organized in honor of Guinean leader Mamadi Doumbouya, who seized power in a 2021 coup and installed himself as president.
