"The bonds between our peoples are strong," President Trump congratulates Kosovo on its 17th anniversary of Independence

US President Donald Trump says the United States fully supports Kosovo and its commitment to building a democratic society where all its citizens can live together and in prosperity.

In a message to President Vjosa Osmani, on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence, Trump states that the United States will continue to work with Kosovo as it strengthens democratic institutions and promotes economic growth through a stable and fair business environment.

In the message, President Trump says that the ties between the people of both countries are strong and that he looks forward to expanding them, including increasing investment opportunities, to bring greater prosperity to both countries.

"The United States looks forward to building a more productive relationship with the government of Kosovo over the course of the year. As we work with Kosovo and its neighbors to build a more prosperous and secure region, it is important that Kosovo further integrates into the Euro-Atlantic community," the message reads.

President Trump also appreciates in his message Kosovo's unwavering support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
