LVV MP, Fatos Geci, votes against the Resolution on The Hague

The Kosovo Assembly today voted on a resolution in support of the KLA leaders who are being tried in The Hague. The resolution initiated by the PDK received 90 votes in favor, 1 against and no abstentions.

Only LVV MP Fatos Geci voted against the resolution.

The Serbian List was not present in the hall.

The Democratic League of Kosovo was in favor of the resolution, but requested that a clause be added to provide justice for political murders. It was the head of the LDK Parliamentary Group, Jehona Lushaku, who made the request.

But this was rejected by the PDK. The head of the parliamentary group of this political force, Përparim Gruda, said that the text had been drafted by a group of experts and that it could not be changed. This caused the LDK deputies to not participate in the vote.

Speaker Albulena Haxhiu said that political murders would also be discussed, but requested that this resolution be put to a vote without changes. After the vote, Lushaku said that "LDK agreed on the point of the resolution, but not on the content."
