The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, declared at the Bled forum that Kosovo and Serbia are one country, provoking the immediate reaction of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
She said there is no normalization of relations unless association occurs.
"At the beginning I have to say that for me it is one country, there are not two countries. Kosovo is not recognized internationally and is not part of the UN. I doubt that it is part of the EU while there are 5 countries that do not recognize it. Normalization, which is in the interest of both Serbs and Albanians and the entire region, is at the top of our priorities. Normalization begins with the Brussels agreement submitted 10 years ago.
The only thing that Pristina had to do is to establish Serbian communities. Kurti says that the agreement does not exist for him, but I repeat that this is the first step that must be implemented for normalization. We are waiting for the association", she said.
But there was no lack of Kurti's response, who called Serbia a delusional state, saying that they have not distanced themselves from either Putin or Milosevic.
"We have 94% to support Kosovo for the EU. We have imposed sanctions against Russia, Serbia has not, it did not distance itself from either Milosevic or Putin, so it is not easy for us. Normalization with Serbia is many times more difficult. Normalization from a psychological point of view means the absence of confusion between fantasy and reality," said Kurti.
