The two leaders of the opposition parties, Memli Krasniqi of the PDK and Lumir Abdixhiku of the LDK, have been taken under the protection of the Kosovo police.

In Kosovo, it was reported that Krasniqi and Abdixhiku were threatened by Serbian terrorist groups regarding the case of Banjska.

Former police officer Ridvan Tahiri spoke about these threats. Tahiri said that the risk could be very great.

He also spoke about his personal experiences while escorting VIPs as a bodyguard.

"When we sent the Speaker of the Assembly, to the north to the "hot areas" as we call them as bodyguards, we were more vigilant because we expected a sudden attack that could come to us.
