8-year-old Joe

A little boy was found alive inside a well accidentally by a passerby, 8 days after he was declared missing by his family.

8-year-old Joe lives with his parents in Oldenburg, Germany, when he mysteriously disappeared on June 17th.

A major search operation was launched, involving police, civilians and dogs, but they could find no trace of the boy until a passerby heard a whisper from a well on June 25th.

He immediately notified the police who went to the scene and after checking the sewers, found the boy, in an area very close to his house.

Police have launched an investigation into whether the boy was missing or deliberately entered the wells while he was taken to hospital without serious injuries.
