"He called for help and then ...", the former mayor of Italy is found
Pierangelo Repanati

Former mayor Pierangelo Repanati is found dead in front of the apartment door.

The incident happened last night around 22:00 in the garden of his home in Corte Palasio.

The former mayor of Lodigiano from 2004 to 2009, was found dead with two cracks in his throat.

Neighbors said they heard screams and cries for help. Rushing to see what was happening, they found the victim's body lying near the front door.

Repanati, 57, was a professional journalist. He lived alone and currently worked as a consultant in a studio in Lodi. The first hypotheses of the investigators do not rule out that he was attacked after discovering the thieves in his house.

"He was a good man, he lived until recently with his elderly mother who passed away," the neighbors recall.
