The story of a Ukrainian boy injured by a Russian missile has touched the hearts of people around the world.
The video that has been circulating online shows a translator bursting into tears while translating an 11-year-old's speech during a session at the European Parliament in Brussels.
She was translating from Ukrainian to English for the infant boy, who was injured by a Russian missile attack on a hospital in central Ukraine in 2022.
Roman Oleksiv recalled that his mother was killed in the attack, while the translator began to cry and had difficulty continuing the translation.
Oleksiv also said he was in a coma for more than 100 days and has undergone many surgeries since then.
The 11-year-old, who has become a symbol of childhood resistance in Ukraine, shared his story with EU lawmakers during the screening of a documentary about Ukrainian children as victims of war and abducted by Russia.
