Numerous protesters gathered this Saturday at Skanderbeg Square in Skopje for a rally to be held in support of former KLA leaders who are being tried in The Hague.

Citizens are seen holding national symbols in their hands while patriotic music is heard in the background.

The organized protest began at 1:00 PM. This rally was also supported by political figures, including the leader of the DUI, Ali Ahmeti. This is the third protest after the ones in Pristina and Tirana.

The Chairman of the War Veterans Organization, Hysni Gucati, has announced that the protest will be peaceful and that the citizens of Skopje should not be concerned, following the statement by the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristian Mickoski, who said that he does not support the protest.

According to him, over 10 thousand citizens will protest today in Skopje for the release of the leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who are being held in The Hague. Gucati, in an interview for KosovaPress, announced that Skopje is the final destination of the protests.

" The final destination is Skopje for Albanians. Today we are expecting a large number of Albanians who live in our lands, we have called for them to come and at the moment the border is very free and there is no problem at all."

Albanians are protesting in the best possible way, they have not come to destabilize the country, I take this worry away because Albanians will protest in the best possible way, there was no need to panic.

"I called the border, I asked, the police are Albanians, there will be no lists of veterans at the border who will be checked. Those who feel unsafe, I tell you, do not come. Based on unofficial information, it is said that over 10 thousand people will be there, including party leaders ," said Gucati.
