The United States is concerned about a series of mysterious drone sightings that have been reported since late November in several counties in New Jersey, but also in large areas of New York City, as well as in several counties in Pennsylvania.

The FBI has launched an investigation to shed light on the incident. Several of these drones have been seen near a military base and near Donald Trump's golf course in Bedminster.

Even though they don't pose a security threat, federal agencies aim to clearly see what's going on and who's behind the drones.

Donald Trump's comment on the mysterious matter was not long in coming.

"Mysterious drones are being seen all over the country. I don't think this can be achieved without the government's knowledge. Clarify the public now. Or else shoot them down," the president-elect declared on his social network.

Fears about the footage are growing and are also unnerving the US Congress, which is demanding answers from the authorities.
