A Delta Airlines Airbus jet hit the tail of another smaller plane with its wing while taxiing on the runway. The accident happened in Atlanta, USA, on one of the runways of the international airport. According to the statements of the authorities in Xorxha, there were no injuries.

Delta announced that around 10:07 a.m. local time, an Airbus 350 bound for Tokyo touched down with Endeavor Air's Crj 900 (Delta's regional airline) bound for Lafayette, Louisiana.

After the collision, the tail of the smaller aircraft was detached and the Airbus was slightly damaged along the wing. The passengers of the two planes with 221 and 56 people on board are all safe and have boarded other planes.

The Federal Aviation Administration said it was ready to investigate the crash. Images published on social networks show the severe damage reported to the tail of one of the two planes. The vertical stabilizer of Endeavor Air's Crj 900 apparently fell from the aircraft.
