According to INSTAT data in the last 7 years, they have left the country on average about 37,000 citizens each year, 1.2 percent of the population, or about 101 citizens every day and concern, according to experts, the fact remains that about 80% of them are of the most active group for work, 15-44 years old.

A student of the Language-Literature branch at the University of Tirana tells the Voice of America that there will be a lot of difficulty in employment, due to high student quotas, in relation to jobs. She shows personal sensations when she returns to her hometown during the summer, due to his abandonment by young people.

In Albania there is a continuing concern about the departure of the workforce from the country. About 1.2% of the population has left each year recently and experts express concern, as 80% of them are of the most active age for work aged 15-44. They say the government should promote policies in important sectors like agriculture and turification that are suffering the workforce crisis. Authorities underline that they have drafted several initiatives, such as the youth guarantee, and to promote employment with the aim of curbing, mainly the departure of young people from the country.

In Albania there is growing concern about the decline of the workforce, almost in all sectors of the economy where the most affected according to experts are tourism, agriculture and services. Job requirements are lower than offers on the market, which is also confirmed by authorities. 13,000 job applications from 20,000 vacancies were recorded in labour offices in the first 6 months of this year, while 12,000 were brokered. Experts think that even the three consecutive earthquake crises, the Covid-19 pandemic and Russian aggression in Ukrania, have taken their toll.

"Perhaps the younger generation, which is the main thing, is trying to leave to compensate, the lackof economic share of these two years. Two years is not a little bit not to get a salary every month. Perhaps people are now trying the fastest routes that give faster, greater incomes, in a shorter time, to compensate for these two years. The economic vacuum we all had, that could be a factor, that we have departures abroad especially of youth." - Clinton Gergeani, Albanian Association of Turoperators, told the Voice of America.

"When I returned to my town in Burrel it was unfortunate how the city was emptied of the young boys. There were only elderly people. Started from my family case, in the country where I live, there have been over 20 boys and none of them are here today, have fled into emigration" - Desada Jethani, a student in the Language-Literature branch at the University of Tirana, told Voice of America.

Another student tells Voice of America the obstacles faced by newly graduates in the labour market.

"They don't have very high fees to afford a living. They will have to do either two jobs or a job outside their profile that has a higher salary. And to grow into a career and receive a higher salary, they will have to spend many years achieving a salary to meet their vital minimum expenses" said Jurgen Spaho, a student in the applied computer branch, Marin Barleti University.

Authorities say some efforts are being made to keep youth in place. The Minister of Finance and Economy singles out for the Voice of America the youth guarantee initiative, which is thought to apply next year as well as the employment promotion programme.

"This is a special initiative, which is entirely dedicated to young people, i.e. the age of 16-29 who have registered as unemployed. These young people within a period of 4 months after registering in work offices as job seekers will be made a concrete offer, an incentive programme, a training program or training in the workplace. I would like to single out the employment programme, which is a budgetary support, which is officiated to all job seekers but also to employers. There are 12 salaries for a year-long period for the job seeker, who is attached to a business" - Olta Manjani, Vice Minister of Finance and Economy, told the Voice of America.

The unemployment rate in the country according to INSTAT is 11. 5%, with a decline of 2.2% compared to 5 years ago, but experts say the first situation in a deeper perspective, in many sectors, presents itself severely. Rexhep Uka, an old connoisseur of the agriculture sector, has built an agroturism unit on the outskirts of the capital. He expresses to the Voice of America that agriculture needs deep structural reform. People choose to work in agriculture in neighbouring countries- he says, where incomes are sometimes higher.

"There's no harder problem today than finding work forces. It's a problem, which can lead to bankruptcy. So far we may have changed staff over 20 times, then think about what their qualification means. Agrotourism is a major source of income and Albanian agriculture prepares not only for 2 million and 3 million tourists, but also 5 and 10 million. But this wants a preparation, level of schooling, training and qualification. He wants vocational schools, which are missing in my opinion. I can compare to The Fultz. Is there an agricultural school to resemble The Fultz? Is there an agricultural school that resembles Golem, Delvina, Corca High School? No, there is no," said Rexhep Uka, an expert in agriculture and agritourism.

Officials are aware of the problems in the agricultural sector and say that the requirements for qualification in vocational schools in this area are low.

"In this sector there are some problems first is the whole process of urbanisation, the fact that agriculture is not a sector where young people would like to be invested, informality problems or other problems related to training or training of the workforce in this sector. In this context I would like to mention, which are about 35 vocational schools in Albania and 10 public vocational training centres, which for the most part, among other sectors covering courses or with education and vocational training courses is also the agriculture sector" - follows Olta Manjani, Mr. Minister of Finance and Economy.
