The most appreciated president by Albanians, in the last 30 years, is Alfred Moisiu who received the vote of 31.7% of the respondents of the Euronews Albania poll.
After him, the most appreciated by the presidents that the country has had during democracy is Bamir Topi (17.9%), followed by Rexhep Meidai (16%), Sali Berisha (11.8%), Bujar Nishani (7.7%) ) and finally the current president Ilir Meta (2.9%).
Almost 90% of Albanians think that Ilir Meta should not be nominated by the opposition to be re-elected as President of the Republic for a second term. Less than 4% want the opposition to nominate Meta for President.

Three in five Albanians (59.6%) do not want the return of Illyrian Meta even at the head of the Socialist Movement for Integration. One in five Albanians (19.6%) agree that Meta should return as chairman of the SMI and the same number (20.8%) are citizens who have neither a positive nor a negative opinion about the return of Meta as chairman of the SMI.

The findings are from the barometer survey in Euronews Albania, conducted by MRB and Data Centrum at the national level on April 25 - March 5 with 1000 face-to-face interviews.
