The concreteization of Tirana and a virgin president

President Ilir Meta woke up this Thursday as an alien to Tirana. When we say alien, we say it in the "foreign" sense. He posted on social media a note raising concern about how Tirana had disappeared almost every trace from that of 30 years ago.

He further spoke of concreteization, the destruction of flowering and green spaces to make way for construction and other and other.

But in these 30 years Ilir Meta has been no stranger to Tirana. He has been elected as an MP in all legislatures since 1992 to 2017, once as a socialist once as an integrated socialist in the movement he created himself in 2004.

He's been Prime Minister for almost three years, vice president. Prime Minister and Minister with Salvini, Assembly Speaker and now President. So, unlike a simple citizen of Tirana (early or late, indigenous or incoming), Ilir Meta has had power, mechanisms, instruments and influence to change the governance of the capital.

But, no! The president suddenly became concerned about tirana's concreteization after in 2000, 2003 and 2007 he supported Eddie Rama in the electoral races for this municipality. He then switched to The Oblast in 2011 and again to the Socialists with Erion In 2015.

So, of the last six local elections, Ilir Meta in five of them has supported, supported and perhaps even established the winner and consequently also the policies of the government of the capital in the local rank. Therefore, before he does as a virgin, raising the concern of tirana's concreteization, Meta must apologise.

To apologise for supporting Eddie Drama from 2003 to 2007, the apology that supported Basha in 2011 (here is the other apology for not keeping the promise of The Oblast, for which Meta declared with conviction then that he would transform the city). The apology should be required even though he supported Erion Iion in 2015 and in the end, i also apologised for the opposition boycott in 2019 and his inability to negotiate with the parties by avoiding both the burning of mandates and the boycott.

Both of these acts today call them part of the agreement of evil between Rama and The Oblast, continuing with the alibi that he had not shown Monica the Great that he planned to burn the mandates in February 2019.

As for Tirana, with its good and bad it will continue to develop, somewhere with criticism, somewhere with obstacles and somewhere with noise. Somewhere the palace will be built, somewhere a hotel and sometime a flower.
