A few days before the end of the subsidy from the government for the increase in the price of oil, the National Association of City Transport requests its continuity for the following months, or otherwise intervene to double the price of the ticket.

The association warns that if their demands are not taken into consideration from November 1, transport operators in Tirana will offer reduced service.

Due to the increase in the price of oil, the government set the reimbursement of 100 lek per liter for the oil spent for the months of August-September-October for transport companies. This is the second anti-crisis package to help the sector.

The same package was used for the reimbursement of oil in the months of March-April-May. While in the months of June and July, urban transport as a whole, suffered the increase in costs due to the increase in the price of oil, since there was no subsidy. The operators in August warned of the suspension of the subscription if measures are not taken by the government.
