Ryanair announces 300 million euro investment in Albania, with 3 aircraft and 10

Ryanair announced that it will open a new base with three aircraft at Tirana Airport from April 2026, deploying three B737-800s and investing $300 million.

The carrier plans 33 routes to 13 countries for the S26, including 10 new routes (Birmingham, Dublin, Milan, Malta, Naples, Pescara, Poznan, Trieste, Turin and Verona), hosts over 450 weekly flights and targets traffic of 4.0 million passengers per year, supporting over 3,000 jobs in Albania.

Over the next five years, Ryanair could grow to up to six based aircraft ($600 million investment), more than 5 million passengers per year, and over 20 new routes by 2030; this expansion is clearly conditional on Albania to maintain low access costs and zero aviation taxes.

A three-day ticket sale offers prices from 24.99 euros for October/November trips.
