"Balluku should have been behind bars, not in the gym." This is what the head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, said, as he reacted after the investigation of the show "Fiks Fare" into the way in which Belinda Balluku, even after her dismissal, continues to exert influence over the Ministry of Infrastructure and subordinate institutions.
Bardhi claims that, despite SPAK's investigation into Balluk, she continues to have influence over employment, tenders and concessions.
"Belinda Balluku, because she has taken Edi Rama hostage, continues to de facto govern the Ministry of Infrastructure and its subordinate institutions," declared Bardhi.
He has directed strong criticism at SPAK, claiming that about 20 days have passed since the publication of new data regarding the investigation into Balluk.
Gazment Bardhi's statement:
Yesterday, an investigation by the show "Fiks Fare" revealed what everyone knew. Belinda Balluku, because she has taken Edi Rama hostage, continues to de facto govern the Ministry of Infrastructure and its subordinate institutions. She continues to decide who gets hired, who wins tenders and when concessions are awarded.
Rama and Karakaci's boss, Belinda Balluku, should not be going to the gym, but behind bars.
Unfortunately, even though SPAK has been publishing new information for 20 days regarding her being investigated for corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets, it has still not implemented the law to imprison her. It is unimaginable for a legal state that a person with 14 criminal charges can walk freely and even find time for the gym.
SPAK must enforce the law. SPAK must enforce the standard it set itself in December 2025. SPAK cannot tell Albanians that, when Belinda Balluku is charged with 6 charges, she should go to prison, while when she is charged with 14 charges, she should go to the gym. This is simply unacceptable!
The law should be the same for everyone. Albanians deserve justice that does not recognize the untouchable. The opposition demands only one thing: the implementation of the law, with the same standard for everyone, without exception. Because in a legal state, power should not be a shield and no one should be above the law.
