The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, is convening the National Security Council today. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 08:30.

The meeting takes place following the investigation into the former director of the institution, Vlora Hyseni, who is under the security measure of "house arrest".

Prime Minister Edi Rama, Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi, several responsible ministers and heads of security institutions are expected to participate in the meeting.

Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that the investigation into Vlora Hyseni belongs to justice, while the protection of security institutions is the responsibility of the state.
