All those who betrayed Petro Gjikuri

The opposition candidate for the Municipality of Himara, Petro Gjikuria, has been hit hard by the political parties that support him, PBDNJ, the Democratic Party and their allies, even before the voting process is over.

In an unusual attack on him, Vangjel Dule, Sali Berisha, Ilir Meta and then the entire circle of his supporters announced his defeat in advance, trivializing him with inventions that actually insult him even more.

The first to hit him publicly the day before was Vangjel Dule. While the Himarjotes had not yet gone to the ballot box, he asked to continue the battle for Beler, as he was still the winning candidate and there was no need to vote for Gjikuri.

"Beleri's mandate has not been terminated by a final decision and the appeal is still to be judged," he said, ignoring the candidate in the race, Petro Gjikuria.

The statement was made 24 hours before the voting started, discouraging the supporters of Gjikuria and starting to find reasons why this voting process should be ignored.

With the beginning of the election day, the depressing voices against him started already in the morning, when due to the electronic identification of voters, several dozen citizens of Himara could not vote due to the expiration of their identity cards.

The number of those who appeared to vote and were not allowed is very low and negligible for the result, while the number of voters has increased more than ever in the elections in Himara.

The introduction of Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta into this debate, making the issued identity cards a battle horse, further depressed the voter of Gjikuria, practically urging him to stay at home because the elections are over.

All the calls of the opposition leaders before the end of the voting, are those that announce the defeat of Gjikuria and try to find reasons why it lost, because of the fault of the government.

Even on social networks, this battle continues.

A page that carries the photo of Gjikuria called "Open Himara", and which unofficially belongs to the organization "Omonia", a radical pro-Gjikuria wing of Beleri, wrote at noon: "You were born traitors, you are traitors and you will die traitors. Woe to the country for people like you. Shame.”

The statement is written in pure Albanian, and seems to be addressed to the opposition leaders who abandoned Gjikuri.

While the elections are not yet over at this moment, the entire opposition has made it a fait accompli that Gjikuria has lost. He himself has been more restrained and at least he has not announced his defeat.

Apparently, everyone has suddenly remembered that if he won, he would spoil the political clan holding hostage the Greek minority in Albania more than Edi Rama. And they announced their defeat in front of the CEC.
