The whole world is wrong, only our Eddie shines: Prime Minister, facing the
Protest

"Albania became the bird, we found ourselves in the middle of this..." - the prime minister said yesterday in a comical attempt to see himself on a "stage" where global storms are clashing.

His speech to MPs, just hours after the protest, offered another clear lesson in how to avoid responsibility. Instead of accountability, he once again preferred the comfortable shelter of victimhood. This time, the blame lies with a vast confluence of global factors.

The Albanian prime minister fails to see any legitimate Albanian concern in the massive protest. This is a major ideological war where Albania is just a collateral damage.

"A development project in Albania became, within a few days, part of an ideological war that did not originate in Albania..." - are the words of Edit. And a little further: "The world did not wake up from the fate of Narta, but from the name of Kushner and the shadow of his father-in-law..."

For Ed, this extraordinary mobilization came from 'global hatred' towards Trump, from the social network, the global algorithm, the Greeks, the Iranians, the international media, the ignorance of the people, the melting of the glaciers.

The only one who cannot be the cause is Edi himself, this great victim of circumstances of modern times. In his world, any criticism, domestic or foreign, is necessarily 'blind', 'emotional' and driven by anger. A worldly jealousy, specifically designed towards our Edi.

So instead of taking official positions, which he is legally obligated to, the 'infallible' plays the sociologist and psychiatrist. He attacks the mental and emotional state of the protesters, then uses the past as a contrast to show them who is the best here.

"If it were up to the world, Narta could quietly return 10 years ago, when flamingos did not migrate to its lagoon, because they were threatened by the bullets of drunken two-legged animals..." - these are his words.

Genius logic. Medemek, since some hunters were killing flamingos ten years ago, we no longer have any right today to hold Prime Minister Edit accountable for the concreting of a protected area, for projects that devour nature, for the fate of the lagoon itself, for the criminalization of the entire society by drugs and corruption.

The opponents of this "model"? "Illiterates driven by social media hysteria", "naive romantics", "online bullies", "fascists", "animals", according to Ed, who in the end also makes a great union of "enemies":

"The Boulevard matched that terrifying arena with the entire army of Albanian haters... I was fooled into thinking that the global tent of this protest would perform the miracle that my Luli's local tent of protest could not..."

It's not about Lulzim Basha. He's showing his genitals to the protesting people.

He received the answer unequivocally this Saturday evening. The unparalleled turnout on the boulevard is the harshest clash of reality with his tales of global flamingos.

The thousands of protesters who filled the square are not virtual shadows, they are not fake profiles or fabricated robots. They are people of flesh and blood. They are proving to the "infallible" that state accountability can no longer be evaded with linguistic tricks or discourses of false philosophy.

You can label them "animals" and "fascists" all you want from the comfortable armchair of power, but those people didn't take to the streets out of anger over Trump or the instructions of "Luli".

They came down as worried parents, as robbed owners, as citizens who refuse to accept any further the disgusting theater of a political class that has been pretending to be rivals by day for four decades, while sharing the partnership of plundering public money by night.

In front of this sea of people, the well-groomed clothes of Ed and Saliu look tighter and more ridiculous than ever. The square finally stripped the tin, both of the stale irony of the one, and of the savior pose of the other, who with that square still has an unsettled account of murders.

From tonight, both of them will be guided by only one feeling. The most basic, the most primitive. And the most human of course: Fear in the face of the truth.

Neither one nor the other, nor both together, can control it, package it, or manipulate it any more.
