Two vessels of the International Water Trade Trust have been denounced by the US-based specialist network Basel as carrying at least 816 tons of cargo, most of it toxic waste, harmful to health.

One of the ships, the Compton, turned off its signal when it arrived in South Africa, losing track, and the Vessel Control Center also confirmed this.

Then also the "Maersk" company itself, which said that the ship made an unauthorized stop in Cape Town and continued on its way to Singapore, Malaysia and finally Thailand.

The arrival of the two vehicles is specified between August 20 and 22, as managers of the transport company said that they will take the cargo to the specified destination and then the authorities will do their investigations and assign criminal responsibilities, if any.

The Thai authorities have confirmed that "the cargo will be returned" and have contacted their counterparts in Albania, but also in South Africa.

The loading was done in Albania, the Port of Durrës, but it is not yet known if it originated in our country.

On the way to Trieste, Italy, it is announced that the cargo has been divided into two other vessels, owned by the international transport company "AP Moller-Maersk of A/S". All 160 containers with 816 tons of cargo were loaded on board the ships "Campton" and "Candor".

-August 13-  The "Maersk" company confirms the event, demands responsibility from the senders or receivers of the cargo and declared that the shipment would go to its destination. According to the company, the ships "Compton" and "Candor" were both en route, with the second one arriving sooner with stops in Singapore and Malaysia, before landing in Thailand. The first, which is suspected to also have toxic waste, is still on its way.

-20 and 22-  August are declared as the time for ships to dock in Thailand.
