The first request for the direction of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has been filed. It is about prosecutor Adnan Xholi, who has expressed interest in running this institution.

Joli has a career of more than 20 years in the prosecutor's office. He has been working at the General Prosecutor's Office since 2013 and was confirmed by vetting last year. Adnan Xholi was also a candidate to head the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), but he did not win.

It remains to be seen whether there will be other candidates in the running for SPAK, as the deadline for applications ends on November 2, 2022 at 24:00.

Arben Kraja is nearing the end of his term and has no right to re-election as head of SPAK.
