Today's session in the Special Court for the murder of ex-policeman Santiago Malko, "soldier" of Ervis Martinaj, against the suspects Ilir Selmani and Elvis Gaci, was accompanied by strong debates and tears from the victim's family members.

Blendi Teta, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for this event, is involved in the debate, who is suspected of being an informer. Santiago Malko's mother and sister were also present in the hall.

Bukurie Malko addressed Teta with the words "maskara killed my son", the situation became tense and it took the intervention of judge Atalanta Zeqiri to calm the situation.

After the legitimization of the parties, Blendit Teta emphasized before the court that "I do not want him to give statements based on those statements that I gave on 19.7.2021 when he spoke before the court in my process. I do not want the statements to be read without the presence of my lawyer, because those statements given to the Tirana police director should not be taken as a basis because they did as they pleased. I also have a request to protect my wife and children because they have been threatened constantly and are being threatened by the lady and her gang".

This sentence said by Blendi Teta has caused the sister of Santiago Malko to burst into tears asking him to account for the children of her dead brother. She stood up shouting and insulting Teta, which led the prison police to forcibly remove her from the courtroom so that the hearing could proceed normally. The prosecution requested that the statements given in the preliminary phase be read, but the request was opposed by Ilir Selman's defense.

The jury retired for deliberation and decided to grant Blendi Teta's Motion to Leave the Courtroom and overrule the prosecutor's request to read Blendi Teta's statements. Ilir Selamani was not present at the session, while the prosecution is asking for his statements regarding this event to be taken at the next session.
