Mide Ndreu , the Albanian woman who killed the 68-year-old owner of the house where she worked as a cleaner in Italy, has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
She was sentenced to 16 and a half years in prison for first-degree premeditated murder in Novara, but last year the Turin Court of Appeal recognized the general mitigating circumstances and the specific one of provocation, denied in the first instance, reducing sentence to eight years.
The event happened on November 24, 2021 after 68-year-old Antonio Amicucci sexually harassed her.
Ndreu took a knife in the kitchen and stabbed him 13 times, leaving him dead on the spot. She confessed to the police that she committed the murder in self-defense.
