Two Brazilians and an Italian have appeared in court after being accused of killing the 28-year-old Albanian Alban Gropçaj, a crime that took place in the city of Caucaia, in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza (RMF), in February 2019.
Alban Gropçaj was employed by the Italian defendant in a company based in Italy, but traveled to Brazil to accompany the suspect in his murder.
According to prosecutors, Gropçaj was killed by two people (one of them unidentified) on the orders of a Brazilian woman and the Italian who was his boss. According to the investigation, the Italian demanded the death of his employee for "financial interests".
Gropçaj was going to develop a big project in the Italian company and due to his promotion and finances, the boss was afraid that his business might be ruined. In the middle was the Brazilian woman who saw the Albanian as an obstacle between her and the Italian.
The crime happened while the Albanian was returning from a restaurant and was heading to the Italian's apartment in Kaucaia, when two people approached him on a motorcycle and stopped him. After getting him out of the car, the perpetrators shot him three times, namely two bullets in the head and one in the shoulder.
