At the end of his speech, Erion Veliaj also had a call for members of the Constitutional Court.

While describing them as the intermediary body between the people and the government, Veliaj asked this court to return the government to the "tracks" of the Constitution.

"I am not here for mercy or privilege, I seek constitutional justice. Justice separates the rule of law from the state of fear. At this crucial moment, you are not a court considering a dismissal of a mayor, you are the intermediary body between the people and the government, created to keep power within the limits set by the constitution. Only this court can return power to the tracks of the Constitution," said Veliaj.
