Skënder Nika , the 55-year-old who was raped along with his wife, Bardhe Nika, in the village of Arst in Fushë Arrëzit, has recounted the moments of horror when unidentified people detained and raped them.

In a statement to the media, Nika said that the people introduced themselves as police officers and one of them was carrying an automatic rifle, while the others had wooden sticks.

"They told me to stop, the police sat me down on the ground. One had an automatic rifle, 3-4 others had wooden sticks. They ran away from me and then on the street they found my wife. She realized what happened to me and came to help me, but they caught her on the street," he said.

Police announcement:

On 17.06.2026, at around 08:00, in the village of Arst, on the street, it is suspected that 2 still unidentified citizens have hit citizens SN, 55 years old, and BN, 51 years old, both residents of the village of Arst, with hard objects.

As a result, the two citizens suffered minor injuries and are out of danger.

The investigation team is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident, identify and capture the perpetrators.
