Spanish authorities have destroyed a giant cannabis plantation in Spain, where several Albanians have been arrested.

Spanish media write that the investigation began due to odors coming from an apartment in the urban center of Oliva, but during the investigation, a second apartment was discovered where criminal activity was suspected to be taking place.

During the inspection, 27 kilograms of cannabis in the form of buds were found, as well as 670 plants in an advanced state of growth, and the high technological level with which the plantations were equipped was ascertained, including systems that prevented the spread of odors and made their detection by the authorities difficult.

The arrested are accused of drug trafficking, document forgery, participation in a criminal group and electricity theft.

The Guardia Civil in Spain has arrested four people responsible for two cannabis plantations located in buildings in the locality of Oliva. They are accused of the criminal offenses of drug trafficking, forgery of documents, participation in a criminal group and theft of electricity.

The investigation began due to odors coming from an apartment in the urban center of Oliva. Investigators were surprised, as the characteristics of the building did not suggest that it was an indoor plantation.

Subsequently, thanks to a series of undercover observations, a second residence was located, located in a dispersed area of ??the same locality, where criminal activity was also suspected. In both residences, it was found that there was manipulation and theft of electricity, in line with the high energy consumption required by the cultivation of cannabis indoors.

In addition, agents discovered that those under investigation had different roles: some were involved in the conservation and maintenance of the plantations, while others provided false or stolen documents and identities for the rental of second-hand housing.

In the end, two inspections and raids were carried out on the plantations, where a total of 27 kilograms of cannabis in the form of buds, as well as 670 plants in an advanced state of growth, were found. It was also possible to arrest four members of the criminal organization. They were four men aged between 25 and 55, with Albanian and Ukrainian citizenship.

During the inspections, the high technological level with which the plantations were equipped was ascertained, including systems that prevented the spread of odors and made their detection by the authorities difficult.

It was also verified that one of the arrested had a ban on entry into the Schengen territory, issued by the French authorities. The investigation was carried out by agents of the Territorial Team of the Judicial Police of Gandía, in collaboration with other units of the Valencia Command.
