Eric Wendt appointed US ambassador to Albania, Senate votes with 51 votes in favor

The United States Senate has officially confirmed Eric Wendt as the new US ambassador to Albania.

In the Senate session, Wendt's candidacy received 51 votes in favor and 47 votes against, thus securing final approval for his appointment to the diplomatic post.

The Senate vote came after his candidacy had been previously approved by the relevant senatorial committee, paving the way for final confirmation.

With Senate approval, the process of appointing Eric Wendt as United States Ambassador to Albania has been completed. He is expected to take up his post in Tirana in the coming days.

Wendt comes to Tirana for work after a long experience in the United States military forces.
