Accident on the Fier-Lushnjë highway, two people end up in hospital

A road accident was recorded this Wednesday on the Fier-Lushnjë highway, in the Kolonjë roundabout area, in the direction of movement towards Lushnjë.

According to preliminary information, an SUV collided with a pickup truck from behind. As a result of the strong impact, the two people traveling in the SUV were injured and were transported by ambulance to Lushnja Hospital.

Sources from the hospital indicate that the injured are under the care of doctors and fortunately are out of danger.

Traffic Police services have arrived at the scene, and are carrying out procedural actions to document the accident and fully clarify the circumstances.

According to initial reports, it is suspected that the cause of the collision was the high speed at which the SUV was traveling, which hit the pickup truck from behind at the entrance to the roundabout.
