Reported missing by family, 65-year-old found dead in Divjaka

A person was found dead in the drainage canal on the Divjaka driver's rest road near the village of Goriçaj.

Police at the scene of this case confirm that the victim is citizen Mina Gjini, 65 years old, resident of Këmishtaj and who collected cans, reports Top Channel journalist Dorjana Bezat.

His family reported him missing to the police yesterday evening, while at around 6:00 PM he was found by passersby.

The police are carrying out procedures to clarify the incident.

Police announcement:

Today at around 18:00, in the village of Goricaj, in an irrigation canal, citizen M. Gj., 65 years old, resident of Goricaj, who lost contact with his family yesterday, was found drowned.

The preliminary examination did not reveal any signs of violence.

The investigation team is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the case.
